JuMz Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Hey guys,I followed the directions in the AVS Forums FAQ to get Quicktime movies to play in MCE. The Video plays fine, however, I have no audio. Everything else works fine (DIVX, XVID, VOB's, DVD's, etc), except audio in quicktime movies (I also do not hear anything when I play the file in WMP outside of MCE). I am using SPDIF out and I don't see any options in the quicktime alternative settings to enable SPDIF out....Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance guys.
JuMz Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 (edited) Anyone? If it helps, I am using an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe Motherboard with newest BIOS from Asus (1023 I believe) and the onboard AC97 audio connected to my receiever using Digital Out (coaxial). I just want to add that I am almost sure its not a hardware problem as everything works fine for any other media type EXCEPT quicktime files... Edited May 9, 2006 by JuMz

By a factory, default installation, there are no decoders for DVD Video OR Audio installed. You have to use a third party CODEC. I use Nvidia Purevideo Decoder. This, however, is not the issue.
