stop a process

This is my first post and i hope i'm doing it good , my question is how can i stop a process with vb.net 2005. Becouse in vb 6 i just used a module and that worked.

System.Diagnostics.Process.Kill("notepad.exe") doesnt work

[LLXX]

exec taskkill.exe with the appropriate parameters.
