latinword Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Is there a way in Word 2000 to view documents on top of each other? To explain, I once loaded up two documents. I put one in full size view and with the other on top, I dragged it down in size to fit a corner of the larger document underneath, (I was trying to use the top one as a guide). However the top document kept disappearing as soon as I typed on the bottom sheet. Is there a way to get them to stay up simultaneously?
spacesurfer Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 open the two documents. then go to window. then choose "compare side by side".this works in 2003. not sure about 2000.it's put the two documents side by side rather than on top of each other.
latinword Posted April 29, 2006 Author Posted April 29, 2006 Thanks, but I don't want them side by side, (horizontally), nor one above the other, (vertically). I'd like them one on top of the other.
