Tina Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 (edited) Hey,I have a problem with watching clips online that are embedded into a site. I've tried with IE, Firefox and Opera, and I get the same result with all the browsers. The only site where IE displays the media player properly, is Vh1.com. I have WMP 10, but the one showing up is WMP 9 I think. Here's a picture of how it looks. The one to the left is from Vh1.com, while the other is how it usually looks:And so question is; how do I fix this"?Thanks in advance,Tina Edited April 26, 2006 by Tina
nitroshift Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 what's your internet connection speed? what codecs are you using (if any)?
Tina Posted April 26, 2006 Author Posted April 26, 2006 I have a broadband connection, so it's pretty fast (around 3 500 kbit/s down and 650 kbit/s up)As for codecs, I have DivX and XP Codec Pack installed.
Tina Posted April 28, 2006 Author Posted April 28, 2006 (edited) ...So I'm guessing nobody can help me here?Oh well, I guess I can just ask my uncle when he comes to visit and see if he can help :S Edited April 28, 2006 by Tina
nitroshift Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 media embedded in web sites uses microsoft media player classic, not media player 10. you can download it here
Tina Posted April 29, 2006 Author Posted April 29, 2006 Really? Because on my mom's computer, the embedded .wmv files show up in WMP 10 player. But I did download the classic player, and it's still not working. Do I have to configure something to make it work?
