I have XP professional installed and working fine. I have tried to install XP x64, but I cannot get my USB ports working with it. They work fine in the 32 bit eddition.

When I try to reinstall the drivers in the System Properties it fails. x64 returns "Failed to install drivers" and "The details are wrong".

Any suggestions?

Have you already installed chipset drivers??? They include USB
