lednerb Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Hello all. Without this forum I wouldn't have been able to get my unattended installation going at all, and I am eternally greatful. This is my first post so please bear with me My unattended install of Windows XP was made using RyanVM packs (integrated with Ryan's integrator), lots of integrated BST drivers, and finally nLited some things. On machines that had this install used to load Windows XP restricted users cannot install device drivers, it prompts for admin username and password. Changing file permissions on usbstor.inf and usbstor.pnf, changing User group policy to allow load/unload drivers, and even making the users power users had no effect. I read that in order for drivers to be automatically loaded they must be signed and the signing policy has no effect on this. I assume the problem has something to do with BST drivers I added. Can anyone confirm this? Would I have to change some registry settings and/or copy original MS files back over somewhere? Any help or insight is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
N1K Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Sorry, I don't know how to help you but I've moved this topic to unattended section since you didn't get any replies on XP forum...Best of luck..
