nitroshift Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Just started to install x64 on my machine. Specs in sig. Will let you know how it behaves vs. the old xp media center i used until now.
nitroshift Posted April 26, 2006 Author Posted April 26, 2006 I managed to install it ok. Had all drivers so no problems there. However my LAN internet connection ain't working. I'm ok in the network, can see and access the other pc's, but can't connect to internet. My setup is as follows: Access point --> router --> pc. I have the same settings as in win xp mce that i'm using now due to the need for internet access. mce works, x64 doesn't. ain't got a clue why it behaves like this. any ideas?
nitroshift Posted April 29, 2006 Author Posted April 29, 2006 Apparently I had to specify under primary DNS the IP of the ISP server, not the IP of my router. Strange, since under windows xp media center the DNS was identical with the gateway...
