sysbuilder Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Is there any problems or disadvantages of storing ALL your filed emails in subfolders below the Inbox folder in an exchange 2003/XPSP2 office 2003 environment? I've never done this; I've always placed all my folder in the same heirarchy as the Inbox folder. Often times I notice many users place absolutely everything they file into subfolders below the Inbox folder. Aside from that question, the max size for an exchange mailbox in a 2003 environment is 2GB, correct? Appreciate any opinions/comments

If you create a folder structure that makes sense, then it makes it easier to find emails again when you're looking for them. It also makes it possible to use the Rules Wizard, which will make Exhange/Outlook automatically sort emails as they arrive.Aside from that question, the max size for an exchange mailbox in a 2003 environment is 2GB, correct? It could be less if the Exhange Admin has configured it lower. If you're talking about the PST size, you can go larger than that with Outlook 2003 now using a Unicode PST.
