EamonX1 Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 MS Word 2000. When I click on the icon the opening screen (Document 1) is filled with the text of a letter I had saved in My Documents. When I click on icon for NEW Document, the same page filled with text appears.I have searched for Normal.dot using Search, but it does not come up. How do I restore the correct opening template??
IcemanND Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 be sure you are searching hidden and system files. the normal.dot file is in a hidden folder in your profile.
