Hi all,

I created a Cd for myself, when I install in VMware have no problem, this work perfect :thumbup

But I burn to CD then install in my laptop, have a big problem happend.

I format C driver and install.

At the first time, my windows run very well, but after reboot, an error:

"Windows cannot load your profile and restore the defaul profile. But the default profile does not correct." (it means that, I don't remember exactly)

After this error, the screen logon stop. I waited 2 hours but nothing happen :wacko:

Before this time, I installed two time (not format hard disk), after reboot my latop and use new windows, but it run very slowly but I don't care about it. Then when I use the original windows the hard disk must be check for the structure and regedit error.

I don't know why?? please help me :huh:

Do you have ProfilesDir in another partition? That paritition might not be formatted.

The way I have it:

I install Windows to C:\ and format E:\ & F:\

Then I use my custom Windows CD with following winnt.sif to install in D:\

ProgramFilesDir="E:\Applications"

CommonProgramFilesDir="E:\Applications\Common Files"

ProfilesDir="F:\Users\"

Thanks your answer.

I format C driver and install on it. I don't format D and E driver. I always install windows on C driver and all settings are default. I don't know the reason when I install my unattended windows, I catch a profile errors.

Anybody help me please, my CD takes me a lot of time :no:

I know this happended to me when I was using a BETA of SP2 slipstreamed in my installation, but i don't think that is your problem (since it seems to work in VMware)...your problem is quite unique...If I think of anything else I'll post back...

Sounds to me like you have a hardware error on the laptop, either bad ram or sounds more likely to be failing hard drive, you should run diagnostic software for Ram and Hard drive

Oh, My laptop haven't got any problem. But this error isn't clearly, so I don't know the reason to repare it.

Who met the errors about profile, please help me. :huh:
