janus zeal Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 i have an ESS Allegro es1989s sound card. it plays sound, but i have a problem. in the volume panel the master volume slider stays all the way down. i can move it to the top, but then it just goes back down by its self. any ideas? im thinking its a driver issue of some kind, but i cant find any place to find drivers other then driverguide (and this is the only one they have for it)any ideas?
Aegis Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Is that integrated sound? If it is, try getting a cheap PCI-based sound card.
