help having problem making bootscreen

Featured Replies

hey all,

I trying to make my own boot screen and I'm having some problems. All the sites I go that have been posted here are not really helpfull for the building of actual image. I have photoshop, I got the layers and all built I just can't get the progress bar to work or the actual image to show at the actual bootup window.

my image always ends up in the 900kb size, but I think that's slight too high.

Thanks,

steve

Just make sure you have the pallet changed in the kernel file and one thing I did once was use infranview to convert image to bitmap after using photoshop. although you might see changes in the image after the conversion.

Can someone HELP me?

I am trying to make my Boot Screen look like the one post-92414-1167939616_thumb.jpg, but when Windows is booting up it is showing up as these LAST_SESSION.INI with distorted colors. Which file I need to edit in the Windows XP Pro CD and what do I need to do to correct this problem?
