USB key

I've a couple of spare USB pen drive laying around. So I was wondering if there's any software that can "turn" one of these USB Stick into a Security Token.

For example, rather than me typing my password to logon to Windows. All I have to do is just plug-in this "normal" USB Stick and it just authenticate and logs me in. Similarly when I pull/remove the USB Stick it'll automatically logs me out or lock the screen? Is this a wishful thought or are there any software implementation out there doing just that ...

some USB keys support that, but it would depend on the key. i'm not aware of any universal software with that purpose
