death_dealer Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 my sytem does't do a disk checking after improper shutdown. can't even do chdsk /f it says cannot lock current drive ,gives option to do chkdsk on reboot even after reboot it does't performs the disk cheaking.already tried to do automated system recovery even that does't help.any help would be greatly appreciated.regards.
nmX.Memnoch Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Windows XP will automatically run a chkdsk on bootup if it detects a problem with the drive.Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 do this as well.
