LazyBoy Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Initially it didn't work but after a bit of searching here I found out it's the hotfix. I did not import KB902942 and KB912945 (not sure which one is the culprit) and OOBE works BUT...I still get the OOBE setup asking 1)if I wanted to enable automatic updates 2)if I wanted to set up internet connection and 3)if I wanted to activate Windows. Is there any way to skip that part also? I do have [Data] AutomaticUpdates = 1 in my answer file but it still asks me if I want to enable autoupdate. Also is there a way to set up password using the OOBE method?
Lazy8 Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 [Unattended]UnattendMode=Default/HideUnattendSwitch="yes"AutoActivate = YesIf you have an online connection at the time of installation, that should get you past the Mini-Setup screens. OOBEINFO.INI only provides the users normally entered in Mini-Setup, without option to create passwords. Try the net user method for that.
