dienkhung Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 i currently have windows xp professional on my system. i installed vmware and running the same OS on it. everything works the way i want on vmware except 1 thing. i cant get the internet working on vmware so that i can surf the internet. i have t1 and the way i have it set up is that i have to manually enter the ip's in local area conection/internet protocal (tcp/ip) and type in the gateway, subnet mask, alternative, preferred etc. the internet works on my main desktop. but on vmware workstation, i cant access internet. how do i configure t1 so that i can use internet on both vmware and my desktop? thankyou
cyberpyr8 Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Do you have it setup to use NAT? In the VM properties you will see Ethernet NAT. It will use DHCP to assign the VM an IP.
