Kuang_rong_shi Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I am trying to learn Chinese and i have a few chinese friends that speak using the characters, now in msn it works fine, i can read the characters that they are saying, but in browsers and another messenging service.. it comes up as £$£&()$(_($ etc. i have configured netscape and explorer to read chinese simplified and traditional, even added it into system settings as language. what is going on here? please help asap
LLXX Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Right-click, select Encoding, and choose the correct one (in IE.)Also make sure that you have the correct fonts installed.
Kuang_rong_shi Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 ive tried doing all that, i can read webpages in chinese, but when it comes to chatting in chat rooms, their language is still $%*$%*G^^^*$, do i have to install a browser that is chinese or something?
