[Question] How to change the about internet explorer bitmap

i compiled a xp sp2 with ryanvm and some others system file

now if i check the "about internet explorer " link

it gives some strange bitmaps

how to change this

which files contains this image

i just hate this image,,, its shows the version 5.2 ...

shdocvw.dll

comctl32

browseui.dll

but couldn't find

this is unattended windows xp,, so there is no question to reinstall internet explorer.

i wanted to modify that bit resource.. thats why,,

i have modified many core files,, so i am confused which file was changed that caused IE to act fuzzy

IE "about" screen is hidden in shdoclc.dll - section 23.

it's in html format that you can edit with resource hacker.

good luck, i don't like that screen either...

sorry to say,,

but there is no such images and text which represent that MAC... on shdoclc.dll

analyze carefully section 23 -> ABOUT.DLG

it's html code, and there should be 2 .gif files in it: ie5.gif and flag.gif

splash screen is most likely ie5.gif - you can find it in section 2110 in the same file

all you need to do is to figure out how to edit html in section 23 / about.dlg, and replace .gif files so you can make even your own "about" splash screen.
