if i have a machine with a HDD that has 2 partitons lets says C: and D:

will booting from a RIS server delete both partitions and then install windows? or will it just format the c: partition and leave the D: intact?

thank you :thumbup

Hi,

All the info you require is here:

http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServe...2a74e01033.mspx

Click on [RemoteInstall]

Repartition - Specifies whether to delete all partitions on the first drive of the client computer and reformat it with the NTFS file system.

UseWholeDisk - Specifies whether to extend the volume to the end of the drive.

We use:

[RemoteInstall]
Repartition = Yes
UseWholeDisk = Yes

To completely remove all existing partitions and create a single volume the size of the entire disk.

Cheers,

Andy
