twostep
I work at a desktop right next to the server. I am often out of my office. Unless I am logged into the server from my desktop, I don't get any messages such as when a client loses his internet connection (I happened to be logged in while this happened the other day).Is there a way in Server 2003 to set a Notify on a desktop? I am admin on server and desktop.Question 2: what should i be reading for daily stats: memory, CPU usage, logs and hard drive space? Should I check these everyday? Thanks, twostep. jondercik
Look at using Big Brother http://www.bb4.org for all your monitoring needs.Jim
cluberti
As for performance monitoring, consider using Perfwiz to configure perfmon for you - it gets everything you need:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en
