Hello Folks,

Wondered if those in 'the know' could help me with this question I have.

I am a member of Napster and have downloaded and paid for many tracks and have built up quite an extensive library.

All the tracks that I have downloaded are DRM protected (copyright protected etc.) which I have no problem with as I can understand the record companies not wanting the music to be distributed freely.

What I do have a problem with is trying to play the media on my MP3 player and my wireless music centre which is connected to my PC and then to my stereo downstairs as neither of them will play DRM protected music.

The only way round this is to use Windows Media player to burn the music onto disk by leaving the 'copy protect music' blank and then once the music is on the cd and no longer DRM protected to then rip the disk onto my hard drive. This just seems like a very long-winded way of doing this. I have the licences to play the music.

Is there an easier way, or any software I can use instead of using cd's all the time.

Thanks for the advice in advance.

Alister.

I know, already late to answer, but try to use Soundtaxi. It can unprotect your purchased DRM protected music and also convert it to format that will be more suitable for you. Full information about it you can read here
