I already posted this in the nLite forum but thought it would be good to post it here too....

I made a bootable CD of Windows XP Pro slipstreamed with SP2. When I tried booting from the CD, the "Press any key to boot from CD" screen appeared, I pressed a key and it went to this:

Trap 0000000D =========== General Protection Fault ============

edi=00070000 esi=000000A1 ebp=00000000 cr0=00000011 fs=0030 gs=0000

I've installed Windows XP many times before and this never happened until I used the Windows CD I made with nLite. Does anybody know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Definitely a problem created by nLite, or a bad burn.

This is the reason I don't use 3rd party tools to make slipstreamed or unattended install discs, and prefer to do it by hand (and test using virtual machines and ISOs rather than physical media).
