Sent Items disappearing out of OK2003

We're running Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2003 on the back end. One of our users, random items from his Sent Items folder disappear. Just poof from Outlook, never to return to it. But through OWA, we can see that the items are still in the Send Items folder.

Very strange. Cleanly uninstalled the whole Office suite, re-installed without any problems. Reconfigured Outlook to our usual specs. Problem is still there, but no other problems.

Anyone have any suggestions?

A couple quick things you could try is maybe the exchange db is dirty or corrupe.. try running the eseutil or isinteg utilities in the exchange server bin directory. Obviously make a backup before you run these utilities..

Also try making a full index of the database...

Putting outlook 2003 in cached mode might force a download...

also if your outlook has a corrupt ost file.. that can cause a problem also..
