monte0682 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 hello I did my windows cd, booted, installed...Everything went fine. However, sometimes I can't log into Windows. The computer starts, and when it comes to the screen where you have that bar at the bottom going, it stays there and doesn't want to move. The only way I could log into Windows is to go into safe mode, run a program for fixing registry and then it logs...Any idea??? I have SATA drives, if it makes any difference,Please NOW in Microsoft Windows XP section, use [TAGS] in your topic's title.See rules.--Sonic

Lazy8 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 May be the SATA controller, or another device driver. Don't throw out any old versions until you've located the most stable ones for your hardware. Device Manager may help resolve problems & conflicts. CD burner quality, burn speed or media may affect driver integrity as well.
