Hello, does anyone know the correct syntax for OU names with spaces in them,

MachineObjectOU="ou=desktop computer, ou=dev, dc=xyz, dc=com"

or

MachineObjectOU="ou=desktopcomputer, ou=dev, dc=xyz, dc=com"

or

MachineObjectOU=ou=desktop computer, ou=dev, dc=xyz, dc=com

Cant get this to join!!

If you type "dsquery computer" from the command line on your DC then you that will show you the form they should take.

excellent thanks travelcard

Travelcard, that is a useful tip, if it only worked.

I have a windows 2000 DC and if i type dsquery computer i get this

'dsquery' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

If i search i find the file is a .dll

Is dsquery and new wink3 command?

Ooops, didn't realise that it was a win 2k3 server command only. If you pm me your email address I'll send you the dsquery file, but I'm not sure that it would work.
