Ok, i have set up Apache, PHP and Mysql on a system here at work

all is running fine.

When I have set up PHPNuke i get this error message on the admin page and similar on other pages:

Notice: Undefined variable: aid in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\admin.php on line 16

Notice: ob_end_clean(): failed to delete buffer. No buffer to delete. in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\mainfile.php on line 43

Notice: import_request_variables(): No prefix specified - possible security hazard in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\mainfile.php on line 64

Totally stuck on this one!

Also, I can create an admin acccount here, and log in, but everytime i click on a admin button, like blocks or submissions etc, it take sme back to admin login :S

If you are using IIS, you need to go into the webserver settings and add index.php as the default file, if you dont know how to do that, do not open up your server to the web, you'll be hacked quickly.

Have you set the appropriate permissions for the admin and setup files following the installation of PHP-Nuke?

Alternately, it may be a corrupt mainfile.php file (or a damaged file that it references).

You could try re-extracting just that file from the original data, and re-creating the site (still using the same database information).
