Hmm thats pretty good, but I will go with my mate and get it for really cheap(£6.09) :D

you get what you pay for. :)

What is there link?

The actual domain only costs £6.09 for 2 years. I will then host on my mates site for about £15.

That will get me a .com or .co.uk

FTP

Unlimited POP accounts

SMTP account

As much webspace as I like

and quite a few of what you offer.

Do you offer discounts for random people you met on forums?

yep, all the time. Just ask around. But it depends on what mood I'm in and if something is offered back in return.

Anyways what is the URL for your friends hosting company?

He hasn't done his site yet.

I have set up the domains myself and will host on his server still.

But I need a topic to do my site on when I have finished college, any ideas?

Sweet. This board gives out free vacations? Thats swell! :)

Xperties. I just checked out your hosting and I think I might be switching my self.

One thing though. Do you offer Shell access on any of your plans? This is a big NEED for me any my current host, depite many attempts will not give it too me.

Cheers

SKiTLz: That is a question I have often wondered. Not a shell to run an IRC bot or anything like that, just a shell to get in there and work at the interface. Sometimes it's just easier that way. :)

yes thats exaclty what I need. I dont need to run background services or anything. I just prefer to edit my pages through vi rather than edit it, upload it all the time.

Much quicker.

Have you tried using FlashFTP? (maybe it's FXP... oh well, whatever it is I use...) You can browse to it and right click "Edit" and it opens in notpad. You make your changes and close it and it uploads the changes for you.

yea i do use FlashFXP actually but I didn't know it did that. Might have to try it.

Still prefer the command line however. You want to install something like postnuke. You can either decompress it and upload the 2000 files which no matter the size takes along time.

Or you can upload one 16Mb file which is done in not time and tar -xzvf from shell. Everythings just quicker.
