Breathless19
I cannot, no matter what registry keys I delete, get rid of the Microsoft Works Update Detection (wkdetect.exe) program from starting up with my computer. I have downloaded a nice program called "startup control panel" that gives direct access to all the startup keys that have to do with the registry. I have deleted the keys that say "microsoft works update detection", it works for a restart or two, then it is right back again. Aside from completely uninstalling Microsoft Works, how can I get this to stay off the startup menu? What service or program is forcing this to start? Please help.
