Removing standard installed fonts.

What fonts could safely be deleted from the Fonts dir (not needed by system or similar).

KB article 314960 has a very short list of standard fonts.

• Courier New (TrueType, including Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic variations)

• Arial (TrueType, including Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic variations)

• Times New Roman (TrueType, including Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic variations)

• Symbol (TrueType)

• Wingdings (TrueType)

• MS Serif

• MS Sans Serif

My guess is that the rest are removable.

I was testing this recently (had a font collision with one app) - at one point I deleted all the .ttf fonts. After rebooting Windows worked just fine - it also recreated some of those .ttf automatically.

I can't give you the list though, as I've not written it down.

But it's a simple enough test to perform.
