ColdFusion200 Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 which version of office are you running?
pawan Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 There is no tweak to remove splash screen from Office, but it can be done by hex-editor I think.Pawan
JRosenfeld Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 (edited) According tohttp://www.freelists.org/archives/wintips/...4/msg00000.htmlyou can add a /q switch to the shortcut target line (but for Office XP, at least you need to make your own shorcuts to the exe files rather than use the default ones, which have the target line greyed out)Example for Word XP to open without splash screen, target is"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\WINWORD.EXE" /qTested this, it works. It works. I wonder if there is any way to disable Outlook's splash screen without using Splash Killer.
