paul8345 Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I am creating MPEG files from old VHS tapes using an image capture device. The resultant files are in the 6Gig size range and are stored on my system drive. When I try to copy the file from my system drive to a backup drive I get an error message saying I don't have enough disk space on my destination drive when in fact this is not true. I have about 200 Gig free on my backup drive. My system drive has about 40 Gig free. Is my problem due to insufficient page file size? Any suggestions? I am using a 3.0 GHz Pentium 4 system with 1.5 Gig of ram.
OtherworldBob Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Is your backup drive using NTFS or FAT32 as the file system? If FAT32, then I think there is a 4GB file size limit. Which would cause the file copy to fail.If NTFS, I'm not sure.
