danielhm Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Is it possible to create an install point that will install either Office 2003 Pro or Office 2003 Standard? Thanks!Dan
Lazy8 Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 (edited) Set up a single full administrative install. Your answer files determine which Office suite gets installed--you can be as specific as you like. Just place your two .MSTs in the same location. Reference either TRANSFORMS=Standard.MST or Pro.MST (or alternate names, as you see fit) in your batch command or RunOnceEx.Extra credit for exporting your current settings with the profile wizard, and importing them during customization. Might save you the time of hunting for individual reg settings, and I doubt you'll notice the difference in installation time. Edited January 20, 2006 by Lazy8
danielhm Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 Thanks, Lazy8!I'm trying to do this distribution through group policies. It seems to work OK. I just with I had started with the full version. Now I'll have to recreate and resliptream my install point based on the Pro setup. Live and learn.Do you have any guidance on pushing out a CMW file using group policies? Thanks,Dan
