As i'm new to the forums, Hi all! :)

Ok my questions are, I have been playing around with the custom emotes option and every one I make has a white background, no matter what file types or if they have a transparent background in PaintShop Pro (5), what do I have to do to get those awful white borders to stop showing? My next question is, I see there are some animated emotes to choose from, how or indeed can I create animated emotes?

Thanks in advance.

If you want a transparent background you have to save the image as a gif file. What you proberly did was save it as a jpg image, right? Jpeg is vectorbased and there doesn't support transparency (at least not that Im aware of).

I saved it as a .gif in PSP and no matter what combination I use it still has a white border round, even tho I saved it with a transparent background.

It does however always bring a popup box telling me that because of the limitations of this format it will be limited to a single layer and converted to 256 colours, at this point the transparency is wiped from it anyhow. :)

I think its some weirdness with PSP because I just used Animation Shop after copying the image, pasted it into one of the animation cells (with transparent background intact) and saved, no popup telling me it was dropping the colour to 256 colours and no messy white border. :D
