mdmartz Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I've never tried to do this before and google doesn't search for special characters so I figure I'll just ask.I would like to associate ssh:// with putty so that when I type ssh://addressofcomputer it will open an ssh session with that computer using putty.Just as http:// opens in Internet Explorerand telnet:// opens in a cmd window executing the telnet command.Anyone have any tips
Doc Symbiosis Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Perhaps there is a way to do this through autohotkey. The version of the c't contains a function, that you can enter commands directly in the addressbar of the explorer. Perhapy you just have to modify this a little to fulfill your needs...Have a look herehttp://www.heise.de/ct/ftp/result.xhtml?ur...ords=AutoHotkey.Unfortunately the homepage is in german, but the program is in englisch. So just download actiaid and install it. There are integrated a lot of examples. It's worth a look anyway, since I installed this, I don't want to miss it anymore. Some nice extensions which are well known from MAC or Linux.
mdmartz Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 Okay well it looks like after a lot of experimenting and finally searching the internet I have found my answer.Incase anyone want to know how I searched. I used ssh\shell\open\command which would be the registry structure for doing such a thing.Anyway below are two links that discuss this.http://lodbrok.be/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WikiWi.../SSHURLProtocolhttp://undef.net/archives/2005/08/05/make-...-open-ssh-urls/
