demon z Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Hi,i've tried your method to customise windows xp setup background ,but after the customisation the file came upto 2.43 mb !!! ,were as the orginal file is supposed to be 117 kb . when i tried to run the setup the setup loaded with the background (.e win 2000 setup type).I replaced the background with a bmp file , should i not do this???

RogueSpear Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I've noticed that some computers will display hi-res true color backgrounds during setup and others will not. I'm not sure if it's the computer itself or the video adapter, but it's best to design it for the lowest common denominator.
