[Help] - RE-Installing Direct X

Hi,

I have recently tried to use one of those direct x removal tools to remove direct x (from memory was 9) to install earlier version. Reason for this was that I had been having troubles with screen flickers when I try and watch a video.

Before I had time to reinstall old one the computer got restarted and then I could not get past the load screen. I think all I need to do is reload Direct X though I can't as I can't get access to Windows Desktop. I was wondering if someone knew how to install direct X when the computer boots up from the start?

hmmm... can you get into safe mode?

if so, you should be able to install from there.

if not, you could do a repair or parallel install.

or you could wait until someone more knowledgeable replies
