highv0ltage Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Hi, anyone here use Endian FW? I've installed it once and it seemed to work fine. I like endian because it has both an incoming and outgoing firewall. The DHCP server was a bit buggy though. The issue I had was with the aliases. What are these used for, because when I created one for one of my PC's it screwed everything up. I deleted the aliases, but it still didn't return things back to normal. Thanks.
highv0ltage Posted January 6, 2006 Author Posted January 6, 2006 Doesn't anybody have any input on this?
I_Broke_My_MHZ Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 This is a microsoft based forum and you are asking help on a linux firewall. You would probably be better aided in a linux forum.
highv0ltage Posted January 6, 2006 Author Posted January 6, 2006 (edited) As far as I can see, it says "Networks, Internet and Security." Why wouldn't a question like this fit under that category? Anyway, where's the linux forum? Edited January 6, 2006 by highv0ltage
I_Broke_My_MHZ Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 I'm not saying the placement is wrong, but most people who are here know and work with microsoft products. Anyway the best suggestion I can give is try to find where the firewall stores its configuration settings and delete them so you start out as if you never configured it.
