why CRROMs disappear?

i did my unattended install and during the cleanup process i started mycomputer : the cd dom was there. then the computer restarted and the cdrom disappeared?

any idea what could have happened?

your runonce or your batch or whatever your using.

i suspect that u are installing Easy CD Creator and Nero

i solved the problem

found that picasa added "LowerFilters" entry to the registry :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}]

and

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}]

deleted the entries and everything was fine.
