I have a "Belkin ADSL modem with wireless G router", a desktop and a Sony VAIO laptop all connected (desktop is wired, laptop is wireless), sharing internet and files.

I have security enabled "WPA-PSK (no server)" with a pass-phrase. Both desktop and laptop connect automatically without having to enter the passphrase or even seeing the "wireless networks available" screen.

I have bought 2 DELL laptops for my children and cannot make a connection while security is enabled - if I disable security they connect to the internet without a problem (obviously that situation is a NO NO  ).

I have trawled the internet but have not come across a solution to the predicament (except that the 2 DELL laptops may be creating a different code?? when entering the pre-shared key).

Any help would certainly be appreciated.

Steve
