Reinstalling serial modem driver

I have problem with my Venus serial modem.

- I install it with no problem, it works fine.

- Next time I start my computer the modem is not found.

- I have to remove the driver and install it again to get it to work.

- After I have installed it, it works fine again until next reboot.

It's a Windows XP machine. Anybody have any idea what the problem could be?

Did you look for any updates, Firmware that sort of stuff?
