Ive noticed that "ehtray.exe" wich is a part of mce causes the green onscreen display.

But when i disable it ( run .. msconfig ... ehtray.exe ) , i cant start mce with the remote anymore.

Isnt there a hacked version of this? or another solution ?

ehtray.exe 5.1.2700.2180 Media Center Tray Applet

All these are needed to run the Media Center. Without these running then your Media center will not run/ or run smoothly. The ehtray.exe is just the tray Applet but it is still a vital part of MCE.

ehtray.exe is only to start mce with your remote.

But it has the bad side effect that , when you try to control your volume with your keyboard , it has an on screen display ,in green.

Most games crash on that.

I tried mce without running it , and had no problems.
