tkmadison Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Technically, you could argue this is a Application Install topic, but maybe not.I have this reoccuring issue where 3/4 of the way through my RunOnceEx execution the CDROM drivers become inoperable, and therefore the rest of the software on my RunOnceEx list aren't installed......Nero Check corrects the problem if I kill the application install task and get into the Windows environment, and upon reboot the remaining programs (the ones that appear in RunOnceEx after my cancellation) install normally. So I guess my question is is there a way to prevent the CDROM drivers from dropping out?The only thing I can think of that would interfere would be Daemon Tools, but it is installed far before this happens.Could there be a registry tweak or something to prevent this?
druiddk Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Hi tkmadison,Are you installing software off your CD during RunOnceEx?Usually you would place it in the $OEM$ folder that gets copied to the harddrive and then install the software trough %SystemDrive% variable..
