Skye Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 (edited) Whenever I shut down/hibernate I get the 'end program' box that says ".... if you chose to end now you will lose all unsaved information" The thing is, I have no idea what the program is - all it says is "Sample". It is not listed anywhere in my programs and I can't find the process (I even took it down to the geek squad and he couldn't find it either). How can I find out what this is so I can either delete it or fix it. What the @%$#$% is it??? Title Edited - Please follow new posting rules from now on.--Zxian Edited December 6, 2005 by Zxian
cluberti Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Use "Process Explorer" from Sysinternals (http://www.sysinternals.com) to see the "Sample" process - you should be able to gather some information about the process, and where exactly it's running from on your disk, from Process Explorer. You may also wish to try "autoruns" (again, Sysinternals) to see if you can find what is actually starting the "Sample" process, and stop it from running until you can clean it out.
