My unattended install never completes. On first reboot it goes directly to the windows loading screen then to the windows setup screen then reboots and does the same again. I'm sure it's something stupid. Please Help !!!

My CD directory structure does not look correct to me. Here are the files and directories on the CD.

win51ip.SP2

BOOTIMG.BIN

BOOTCAT.BIN

Last Session.ini

Last Session_u.ini

I also have a custom winntbbu.dll.

Obviously I'm using nLite.

This probably won't resolve tonymatis's situation, but I have run into a somewhat different scenario: at T-39 or T-37 the setup would stop doing things and just hang in there, occasionally swapping the billboard messages and nothing else. As the actual setup is done by a detached process, it means this process is dying for whatever reason. As it turns out, the most frequent reason is running out of memory. It appears that unattended setup takes a lot more memory than regular one. I have just tested my new unattended setup disk in a 128MB virtual machine, and it died at T-37. Increased memory to 256MB, and bingo - it went OK.

Yes VMware

Yes in Windows XP pro

Yes removed scsi drivers and yes install via bus master drivers

What about the CD structure ? I've compared it to my original XP CD and it seems to be missing some things. SETUP.EXE for example.
