Hi everyone

I have added two new users to our active directory on exchange server, then when i configure outlook 2003 to open the new users mailbox, it throws up a message telling me that the name cannot be found on the exchange list. I have entered the correct server name etc

I have restarted the exchange server , but still no joy. This has been happening for two days now

Any thoughts ?

Has all of the information been populated in the directory? Is your Recipient Update service running properly? Try looking for more answers at www.msexchange.org - this is a fairly common issue if your RUS service isn't working properly, or you are having AD replication issues.

yes.. most likely things havent replicated and this may be a problem with the recipient update policy. open the user account in active directory users and computers and select the email tab. Make sure that that gets populated via the recipient update policy. If nothing shows in here.. you will have the problem you are experiencing
