Ya_bewb Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 We use WinPE to run Ghost32 to image our PCs. With WinPE 1.2 (based on WinXP with SP1) and Ghost32 version 8.0.x, we can multicast successfully. If I use WinPE 2004 (Based on WinXP SP2) and Ghost32 version 8.2.x, then multicast doesn't work, but unicast does (imaging takes quite a bit longer using uni instead of multi).Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have a resolution? I tried disabling the firewall in WinPE 2004, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.
Ya_bewb Posted December 1, 2005 Author Posted December 1, 2005 I fixed the problem by disabling the firewall in winbom.ini and copying the winbom.ini file to the root of the build folder, before I ran oscdimg to create the ISO image. Here is my winbom.ini file:[Factory]WinBOMType=WinPEReseal=NoAutoDetectNetwork=YesDoDeviceIDScanOnError=yes[WinPE]Restart=No[PnPDriverUpdate][PnPDrivers][NetCards]NICPnPID=D:\i386\inf\e1000325.infNICPnPID=D:\i386\inf\Net8254x.infNICPnPID=D:\i386\inf\B57XP32.INF[updateInis][FactoryRunOnce][branding][AppPreInstall][WinPE.Net]IPConfig=DHCPStartNet=YesWinPEFirewall=Off
