Outlook contacts folder

Is it possible to mark or flag some of the contacts in a public contacts folder so that I can just use the marked ones to which to send an emailshot? I want to store this information so that I can email again.

Can you make a new email distribution list and include the members of your choice? Your use of "public" leads me to believe that you are using a company database (in which case I'm not sure that I would know to do), but if not the d.l. should work. Hope that helps!

Yes it is a work situation. I could make another public folder but this would be labour intensive as there are hundreds of contacts and there is no on screen field to use for selection when selecting names from a list: I would have to print out the list of contacts and mark ones for selection then go through the entire list.

I am wondering about transfering the contact information to a database and running a query to generate a list if I can then export that to an outlook public folder?
