Quickly add URL shortcut to your Desktop

This is a pretty old trick, but some people still don't know it Just drag and drop the favicon from the address bar to the Desktop (or any other folder opened in Explorer). The shortcut "page name.url" will be created on the Desktop. Favicon is the small icon in the address bar next to http.

You may need to resize the browser window first and minimize other windows to show desktop.
