Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC

Hi everyone,

I just purchase a Fujitsu Stylistic Tablet Pc from France and the OS is in french. I have downloaded Windows XP Tablet PC and try to install it but it did not accept the Tablet PC keys but i did accept my Windows XP Pro keys. I end up with XP PRO on my Tablet PC. My question is : how do I install Windows XP Tablet PC from the second cd that I have downloaded.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Different language versions of Windows (whether it be XP Pro, MCE, Tablet, etc) use different licence keys.

As such, I'm not surprised that the key that shipped with your OEM French Tablet PC does not work on an English version of Windows Tablet.

Also, how did you "download" Windows Tablet? This sounds like a warez deal and I doubt that will be looked upon fondly here if it is so (see forum rule #1).

If he has an MSDN subscription, he CAN download an Operating System from Microsoft. However, he should've also been able to download a key .

Yep. I kind of ruled that one out through the same reasoning as yourself.
