Floppy Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 HeyFor about a year ago I made a unattended Winxp cd, and it works perfect(for me) Then this SATA disk became more popular ....The problem is that some of the MOB's can run at the WinXp genuin SATA driver, but it can not find/instal it from my Cd... I just wonder if there is a way to check if the driver is on the Cd somwhere?I would appreciate an answer on this
nmX.Memnoch Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Windows XP doesn't ship with any native SATA controller drivers. You can find instructions on how to integrate them with your UA CD here:http://unattended.msfn.org/intermediate/drivers/raid.htm
Floppy Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 (edited) Are you sure about this...because when I install from a Org. WinXp Cd it installs well with this MOb.But not fom my Un. Cd Edited November 24, 2005 by Floppy

If you have an Intel chipset based motherboard and aren't using the SATA controller in RAID mode then Windows XP will install without loading any drivers. This, however, is because of how Intel chose to implement the SATA controller on the southbridge (ICH) part of their chipsets. It sort of "emulates" the onboard PATA controller.Glad you were able to find a way to make it work.
